Engagement terms

How a consulting engagement is agreed, paid for and handed over.

Before work starts

The offer pages describe the intended scope of each service. A written proposal and agreement identify the contracting supplier, client, deliverables, acceptance owner, schedule and applicable terms before payment. A calendar booking alone does not create a paid engagement.

Prices and payment

Repair, audit and sprint prices are in US dollars. The evaluation retainer is priced in euros per month. Applicable taxes, invoicing details, payment method and any third-party costs are confirmed in the proposal. Use a payment link only for the matching agreed scope and invoice.

Milestones and acceptance

The agreement records the evidence needed for acceptance and the review period. Repair payments are split between start and acceptance. Sprint payments follow agreed milestones. The audit credit and any revised sprint milestones are recorded before the follow-on engagement is paid.

Changes, cancellation and refunds

Changes to scope, price or schedule require written agreement. The proposal must state how cancellation, incomplete work, disputed acceptance and refunds are handled. The evaluation retainer has a 30-day cancellation notice and no rollover of unused days. Mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

Project code and intellectual property

Project work is delivered in the client’s repository or another agreed location. The signed agreement defines rights to paid project deliverables, any pre-existing tools and third-party software. Open-source dependencies retain their own licenses. Website content and brand assets are not automatically transferred as project deliverables.

Access, data and releases

The client authorizes the access and materials required for the work. Data handling, confidentiality, retention and any required processing terms are agreed before sharing project material. The client approves production releases and remains responsible for its operational decisions.

Limits and support

The work is evaluated against the agreed cases and environment. An evaluation result does not establish correctness for every possible input. Each offer has a stated support boundary; liability, dispute resolution and governing law belong in the signed agreement.
